A textured mosaic of a Herdwick sheep. This mosaic was inspired by the Herdwick sheep that are native to the Lake District. The sheep are very hardy with a coarse shaggy grey wool and have an attractive face.
The sheep face is made of hand cut rock, marble and glass. The sheep wool is hand cut lakeland slate.
The mosaic has an integral d ring hook to hang from a regular picture hook but requires a solid wall or you might like to purchase an additional table top easel to display on a mantlepiece or table .
The mosaic is hand made, one of a kind, made by the artist. The mosaic is not a perfect square or rectangle, its deliberately uneven as I want the mosaics to resemble the unique ,varied, slate stone walls of the Lake District.
